It's been 1 year since Dream Masquerade Carnival in London // Part 2

Can I be honest with you all? On one side I feel terrible for not posting about this event anytime sooner than I am today. But on the other side I don't really feel the motivation to post about this event cause I had some hard times during the event and after I came home from London.
Though when I talked to my friends they said that they would love to read my story non the less so here it is. The second part of the Dream Masquerade Carnival event from 2017.

We ended on the first day in my last DMC post with the amazing experiences I had on my first trip to London. It was truly amazing. We walked for hours and explored so many things with my friends. But the next day would be the day of the event, which is even more exciting than exploring the city.

On the morning of the 26th of august we woke up around 6 to get started for the day. We decided that we would wake up at this hour cause Liv and Ayumi needed to leave pretty early for model rehearsals. As I was still laying in bed I tried to catch up on social media and getting excited for the day. Though I must be honest I felt pretty horrible already, no hunger at all and pain in my body from the day before. But luckily I had my medication with me so I could survive the rest of the day with no worries. Even when I had a terrible morning I was super excited to help Liv with her waist ties. She was wearing a gorgeous old school dress from Angelic Pretty which she coorded with a modern twist.
I tied her bow and loved how it turned out, it was so pretty and perfect.

After they left to the model rehearsals I got ready too, I planned an OTT sweet coord with my milky planet OP. It was simple, not to hot and still me. I felt so good in my coord and was ready to tackle the day. Together with Petra we traveled to the starbucks where Ayumi would wait for us after model rehearsals. Though somehow we ended up later than expected so we met at the bus stop instead and walked together to the venue. Liv was already at the venue cause she was lucky enough to catch a VIP ticket, but I was sure that we would see her again soon.

Loving my travel buddies! Ayumi and Petra are true sweethearts

There was already a small line waiting and soon I spotted some familiar faces! It is amazing to see all your friends again that are living all over the world. But it was also really nice to see that people recognised me, both from instagram or my youtube channel. I'm always a bit in shock that there are people out there who like and watch my videos or follow me on instagram. It was so nice to meet every single one of you, and I'm so thankfull that you said hi to me cause it felt so unreal.

Old and new friends together!

The day was filled with a busy schedule, going from Q&A sessions to game shows with Tripple Fortune, all kinds of fashion shows and my favourite part of the day was the guessing game where Tripple Fortune needed to guess which item was the oldest of the candidates. That game show was hilarious!

Of course we had the opportunity to shop a lot and boy it was hard to choose this time. Angelic Pretty Paris was there with a booth but also Imai Kira, Tripple Fortune, Tokimeki Gabriel and of course many indie brands like Summer Tales Boutique, Heaven's Atrium, Dream Holic and lots more. There was also a giant room filled with second hand items and a remote vendor table with lots of items to choose from.

In the end I ended up picking up my orders from Me likes Tea and Cotton Candy Feet. But also buying a second hand dress and some smaller pieces like socks and accessories. My husband Alexander was lucky this time too. When we visited the booth of Tripple Fortune, Babi and Kai insisted that he would try on one of their new jackets that where made to fit a male model. As my husband tried it on, they where both so happy to see the fit and explained the details of the jacket to us. In the end after lots of doubting we bought the jacket and I must say I'm not regretting anything. That piece is stunning!

One of my highlights was meeting up with the designer of Heaven's Atrium, I was so nervous to meet her but since I had contact with her for many weeks over on instagram it felt like we knew each other for quite some time but still I was nervous to go talk to her.
She is such a sweetheart and I still adore her brand a lot! We made some pictures together, cause what else do we do when we meet friends that we like.

I had so much fun at the event, talking to my friends. Visiting the different booths and activities during the day I forgot about time and the fact that I wasn't wearing my correct shoes most of the time. Cause yeah I wanted to look cute while taking photo's and running around at the venue. But this resulted in me being super tired, in lots of pain again and feeling nausea so I needed to rest for most of the afternoon on a chair hoping things would get a bit better with some rest.
I felt very sad about it but I had peace with it cause there was lots to do in the activities room where the fashion shows was held. I'm really thankful that I wasn't alone and that my friends came by to say hi, but we also had some drinks and lots of fun memories already. I couldn't wait for the next day!

After the event was over Liv, Ayumi, Petra, Alexander and me went out for some vegan dinner which wasn't the best to be honest but our dessert was amazing! We had vegan froyo, it was so delicious and it made up for the dinner we had. I was happy that all the locations of the restaurants where close to the venue cause I had some difficulties with walking. Luckily my dearest Ayumi was there to help me with walking. I can't thank her enough for supporting me and being my walking stick that weekend. It wasn't easy to accept my limitations that day but I needed to face it non the less.

When we traveled back to the hostel with public transport but Liv noticed that she lost her totebag with all her goodies and items from the event. So we stopped at the first busstop we could stop and got out. Called both restaurants in the hopes that her bag was found again. Luckily it was still at the froyo place and we went back to pick it up. We where so happy to see that everything was still in there, the owners of the froyo restaurant where so sweet and helpful. They placed her bag behind the counter while we where traveling back to the restaurant so no one would steal it. Once everything was alright we headed back to the hostel and called it a day. Cause tomorrow would be an other day filled with amazing moments.

Curious to see what I bought at the event? I made a haul video about it, you can watch it here

See you next time!

Lots of love,

Let's go shopping at Dream Masquerade Carnival! - Vendor overview

In just one week I will be on my way to London to attend this years Tea Party Club event. This is the first time that I attend a TPC event as well my first time in London. So I'm already pumped about my first time in London! Any tips for me on what to see on Friday and Monday?

Since the event of the Tea Party Club has so many vendors I thought it would be nice to prepare myself a bit with a handy dandy overview. So why not share this list with you too?! In total there are 25 vendors! Isn't this insane?! And I even didn't count the remote vendors in this list. Adding those to my total it would be 39, 39 vendors!! Like OMG can you imagine how many money you will need to buy something from all those vendors? If you have a pot of gold or a money tree please let me know, hihi.

I've divided the vendors based on actual vendor and remote vendors. The guests are also included in this list. Hopefully this list will help you with planning out your shopping day on the first day of the event. I know it will help me a lot with not being super overwhelmed by all the amazing things I will find at the event!

Special Guests
First up is main guest Angelic Pretty, both Maki and Asuka will join us at the main event on Saturday and at the tea party on Sunday. Some of the lucky attendees who where able to buy a Gold ticket will be rewarded with early acces where they can meet both designers. As well enter the games to win a ride with the special guests in a gorgeous carriage through London.

I'm really excited to meet both of the designers and to shop at their booth! As most of you know Angelic Pretty is known for their sugary sweet collections and is also one of my favourite brands.

So I think I will spend a lot of money at this booth, though I'm not planning on going home with a dress. I try to keep my shopping spree to accessories only this time. But we will see..

I was a bit sad when Kira Imai was announced as a guest/vendor for Street Fashion Europe - Omnia Vanitas earlier this year. Since I wasn't going to Omnia Vanitas I wasn't able to meet this icon within the lolita art scene. Kira Imai is mostly known for her collaborations with Angelic Pretty and draws the most amazing illustrations for this brand. When I heard that Kira Imai was joining us at Dream Masquerade Carnival I was so excited. As an artist postcard collector this is a dream that comes true, I'm able to buy some of her postcards and let them sign by the artist itself. I do hope that she will bring enough stock with her to survive the first rush of gold ticket holders.

Tripple fortune is a brand that you see at many events but I'm super happy so see that they will be in London too. I really love their bonnets a lot and I kinda like their clothes too. But I'm a bit in doubt if it fits my style and body type. Their designs for dresses are rather long and I think that it will look funky on me. I was initially planning on getting a new bonnet but I canceled this plan so save some money for other things. Getting a new bonnet is a big investment and I don't get much use out of them as I was hoping for. But this doesn't mean I won't take a look at those gorgeous bonnets and dresses and I do need to shop at their booth anyway for a friend. I'm hoping to buy some tights from Tripple Fortune this year so wish me luck.

Both Babi and Kaie will join the event on both days.

While Tripple Fortune is a well know face at European events so is Rose Marie Seoir. I first saw this brand in Paris at La Vie en Rose, ever since she was a guest at all the following Street Fashion Europe events and now at this Tea Party Club event. Every time I want to buy something from Rose Marie Seoir but I end up buying nothing and regretting everything a couple of days after the event has passed. So this year I want to buy something for real, I'm specifically looking for some accessories to go with my new homemade strawberry dress so I hope she has something for me.

Rose Marie Seoir is a brand that is great for everyday looks, it is cute and has a unique style. It fits more into Larme kei instead of lolita but their designs are so adorable so it doesn't matter for me.

The last guest in this line up is Kunika, she is a sweets Artists. She was a guest at Enchanted in London a couple of years ago and you where able to buy some of her cookies as well some of her imitation cakes. Personally I'm not super excited to meet Kunika in person but I am looking forward to see her cookie and cake decoration skills in person. It is not completely clear to me if we will be able to buy some of her merchandise but I will definitely take a look at her booth!

Vendors
Besides all the shops from the guests these amazing brands are represented too! I'm not going into detail for every brand since there are just to many of them but I will tell what my highlights are.

In this list of vendors I'm mostly looking forward to Fidel David, he is a designer with such an unique style. It reminds me a bit of lolita fashion with historical influences as well some distressing at some points. He works with lots of lace and small details, he doesn't have an actual shop where you can buy his designs but you can always contact him for commissions. I'm mostly looking forward to see his designs on the runway as well to look at them at his booth.

Peackalorum is also a brand that I want to see, I saw on their webshop a gorgeous feather brooch as well as a tricorn hat. This brand has mostly smaller items like wristcuffs and hair accessories.

Both Shinkurose *top left and Narcissique Coutoure *bottom right are new to me. They both sell clothes as well some accesories. Shinkurose offers clothes in different sizes and have some cute accesories too. If you are a fan of Gothic I would suggest you check out Narcissique Coutoure, they have some amazing things in their online store so be sure to check them out!

Where to start with this amazing line up of vendors. If I'm completely honest I love them all but I do need to say that I have my eyes on something from Fantastic Grim which is a UK based accessory shop. I already own some things from them but I'm hoping to add one of the book necklaces to my collection. Also TokiMeki is on my shopping list both for myself as well for a friend. I'm not sure if I end up buying something for myself though it need to fit my style cause everything he makes is so adorable.

Mossbadger and Summer Tales Boutique are shops that I will take a look at and see if I find something that catches my eye. Summer Tales Boutique has released a new blouse that I'm really interested in so I'm looking forward to see this in real life. I'm also hoping to see some new designs on the runway from both brands.

From this little lot I have my eyes on some items from Ma Petit Chouchou, especially their own designed tights. Also their necklaces are gorgeous as well so I will take a look at them too. Ma Petit Chouchou sells their own accessories as well some items from Souffle Song and Cutie Honey so I'm looking forward to see what they will bring. Cherie Cerise is a brand I discovered last year at Under the Sea, I bought a cutsew from them and I really love it. I hope I can buy one of their necklaces that I've seen on their website they are gorgeous!

Both Lady Sloth and Antique Frills are less interesting for me, Lady Sloth has some cute casual dress right now up for sale and I hope I can see them at the event in the runway. While Antique Frills is a totally new brand for me I can't tell you much about it, but what I can tell you is that they will bring lots of clothes and accessories for sale and will participate in the fashion show too.

We are almost at the end of the official vendors that will have a booth at the event. This time I would like to highlight Moss Märchen and Heaven's Atrium. Both are brands that are highly on my shopping list this event. Especially Moss Märchen, this brand makes stunning ribbon embroidery necklaces and I want to add one to my collection. The only downside of this brand is that they rarely have items up on their webshop which makes it really hard to get your hand on these items. Currently Moss Märchen is pre-selling the items that she will bring to the event so the chances are really small that I will be able to buy something from her stall at the event itself. The pre-selling is both a blessing as well as a curse in my eyes, you have a chance of getting your desired item but if you aren't quick enough to claim the item on instagram and pay in the next 30 minutes when you receive the payment details you lost your item. I'm not interested in buying something in a bloodbath on instagram right before the event. If it was ment to be I will be able to grab something from Moss Märchen at the stall.

The other brand that I'm really excited about is Heaven's Atrium, they are a fairly new brand only one year old and I recently discovered their shop with a giveaway. The reason I am excited for this brand is because they make dresses according to your preferences. You can pick different styles of skirt lengths as well different bodice types for your dress. They will bring all the different types of skirt lengths to the event so we can take a look at it. I'm really looking forward to see their new print which features butterflies!

After Midnight and My Sweet Sakura are both accessory brands, I'm not particularly interested in both of them but I think they are worth to take a look at at the event and see what they have to offer. The reason why I'm not super interested in them is because it doesn't fit my style that well.

Last but not least are Dream Holic which is a Taobao wigshop. Currently I own 2 Dream Holic wigs and I'm impressed with the quality, color options and their overall style of wigs. I'm really looking forward to see what they will bring to the event cause if I read it right they will bring items from their new clothing and accessory line which is made in co-operation with Krad Lanrette and other Chinese brands. This is really exciting news!
Violet Fane is also a shop that I want to visit at the event, not something particular that I want to buy from them but it's always nice to see their items. Maybe I'll grab one of their lovely brooches, I've been eying on them for a while now so maybe it is time to get one.

I totally forgot about Long Ears and Sharp ears as a vendor, how could I've missed this brand in this list? But how excited is it to see them at the event too? They have such great designs for their dresses and it looks so good in real life. I've seen their designs on the runway before in Berlin at Urban Fairytale. I wasn't planning on getting a dress but maybe I'll end up with one from this lovely brand. They also mentioned that there is going to be a collaboration item for the gold and silver ticket holders so I'm looking forward to see what it's going to be.

The last brand in the vendor list is Sugar Trampoline, this brand is new to me but from what I've seen they sell some lovely accessories and adorable bloomers and aprons. Really suitable for sweet lolita.

Remote Vendors
The end is near! Only 14 more remote vendors to go.
Please be aware that if you want to purchase something from the remote vendors you need to pay with paypal. It is not possible to pay with cash!

The first remote vendors are all Asian brands, Wunderwelt is a secondhand webshop for Lolita fashion. They also have a separate store with the name Wunderwelt Fleur where they sell new items as well. It's definitely worth checking their site out! And I'm sure I will bring this remote vendor a visit cause you never know what dress you might find for a good deal.

Juliette et Justine and Atelier Pierrot are both brands that I look up to and want to add to my collection as well but it fits in the same corner as Tripple Fortune when it comes to their clothes. First up Juliette et Justine, I love their dresses a lot but they are just to small for me. While Atelier Pierrot fits me fine I'm hesitated about the style. Maybe I just have to take a look at their accessories.

Baroque is a brand that I only know from the gold glitter shoes and bag that I own but when I looked at their webshop I saw some gorgeous dresses. I hope they will participate in the fashion show!

Look at these awesome remote vendors, My inspiration with their stunning embroidery necklaces, brooches and handbags. I hope I can add one of their necklaces to my collection this year. I've been looking at their designs at every event but I couldn't find the right one so I really hope I have some luck this year. Miss Danger is "famous" for their masquerade mask brooches. Those are truly magical  and if they would go with my style I would definitely buy one! Maybe I can buy one for my husband if he likes them, but he can take a look for himself at the event.

Madillustration is my nr one brooch shop! Her designs are so adorable and I love the watercolors she uses in her illustrations. I've been following Madillustration for a while now and I love every single thing she makes. For the event she designed an exclusive brooch, I'm still in doubt if I want to try and buy one but it's not really my style so I will see what I will do when we get there.

Lastly in this block we have Puvithel, this brand is also fairly new to me. Puvithel is an accessory brand,  to be honest I'm not sure if I like them or not. Their necklaces and accessories are looking amazing but are a bit to much for my personal taste. I'm more of a simpel, classy and elegant accessory type of person instead of the eye catching ones. But if you love bling be sure to check them out!

We are almost at the end of our never ending list of vendors but please hang in there. From this list I will bring Vanillas Traumfabrik definitively a visit. As I already know this brand for quite some time I know how much I love their rosettes and necklaces. I've been eyeing on some things from their shop so I hope I can add those to my shopping spree at the event.
Alchimia is a brand that I discovered when following the announcements on the event page. They have some stunning headpieces on their facebook page so I'm really looking forward to see them in real life! The headpieces they make are fitted for an OTT coord so it's always a bit tricky to buy something without having a coord in mind. Well at least for me that is.

While we are at the remote vendor booth I will also take a look at Mulberry Chronicles, they are a great brand for everyday coords and make adorable brooches. Their last collection was with cheese and wine, definitely an unique theme! So this brand is going onto my list too.
The last one in this little list is Fluffy Tori, this brand is not specifically on my list of shops that I need to visit but I will take a look at their items to see if they have something new. This brand is definitely a must see for the sweet girls among us as well as the sporty types because they have some amazing sportswear!

Both Cotton Candy Feet and Me likes Tea where highly on my list of shops that I wanted to try out in the future. Cotton Candy Feet makes the most amazing shoes in different colors and started to bring out their own bag line as well. While Me likes Tea on the other hand is a petticoat shop, where you can customise your petticoat as your heart desires. They both offered a pick-up service at the event and since I was in need of new shoes and a new petticoat I made some use out of it. So I will let you know what I think about these two shops in the future!

Since we are officially at the of this never ending vendor list of Dream Masquerade Carnival I would like to hear from you what your favourite shops are for this event. Any special guest you would love to meet or a special item you want to hunt down?

By the way did you know there is going to be a bring and buy too?
Even more things to choose from!

See you in London!

Lots of love,

Madillustration, Patisserie brooch line review

It's been some time when I first heard about Madillustration. She is a traditional artist that finds her inspiration in lolita fashion. Her work is unique and very detailed. But when I first saw her work I fell in love with her style of art and started to follow her.

About 6 weeks ago Madeleine from Madillustration posted her full Patisserie collection on instagram with the message that she was going to make some of the designs into brooches. This was my moment to stalk her page even more for more information cause this way I was able to buy some artist brooches from an artist I really admire. And I wasn't planning on missing out on the sale for these awesome brooch designs!
The full collection which is available for prints.

The brooch collection, one week before the release on the 5th of may.

The moment when I saw the final collection of the selected brooches it was really hard to pick my favourite ones. Cause aren't they all adorable and deliciously looking? The price for each brooch was £14,95 which is around 18 euro. The brooches would be limited to 10 pieces of each design so I was really scared that I would miss out on these brooches because I had no idea how populair they would be.

She opened her webshop at 11:59 on the 5th of may and I was ready to order my brooches. In the end I went for 2 items, can you guess which ones? I picked the doughnut to go with most of my cookie themed dresses and of course my melty cream doughnut dress and for the Madeleines Patisserie logo which goes great with any classical themed dress as well some of my sweet dresses.

I placed my order as soon as the webshop opened and I was aware that the brooches would take some time to get to me. Since Madeleine was going on a little trip to Ireland for a couple of days. So that means she wasn't able to ship out the packages. On Monday the 14th I received my shipping notice with tracking information. For the international shipping I paid £4,95 which is around 6 euro and the package took 4 days to get from the UK to my place. I was really excited to get the note in my postbox that I could pick up my package at the post office the day after since I wasn't at home when they came.

The brooches where wrapped in a brown bubble envelope with a cute little sticker of Madillustration on the back. This was a nice detail and gives you the feeling that the items where packed with love and lots of care. Inside the envelope the brooches where packed in its own little plastic bag with tiny iridescent hearts and gold star flakes. Isn't that adorable and magical at the same time?

In a little paper bag I found a personal note from Madeleine, a coupon for my next order and the same sticker she used on the outside envelope. These little things make you smile non the less. Even if it was only the little note I would happy as well with it. By adding these little details you really get the feeling that she loves what she does and that she is happy with the fact that you love her work too.

When I took the brooches out I was amazed by the details on it. Most of the brooches I own have either a glossy finish or a matt finish. But this doughnut brooch has the best of both worlds I tell you! The glaze is shiny and super glossy while the dough is rather matt, isn't that cool? When it comes to the size they aren't much bigger than the ones I already own. Though they are lighter in weight than some of the ones I own. For the backing she used a pin which is sturdy and nicely glued on with no residu of the glue what so ever. Very professional looking I must say!

Overall I'm in love with my two brooches and I already tried to make some coords with them as well. The doughnut one goes perfect with my Melty cream doughnut dress as well as my Wonder cookie dress. I have no bad thing to say about these brooches or Madillustration. I'm definitely going to keep my eyes on her instagram for future designs!

If you want a brooch for yourself there are still some available on her webshop! They are definitely worth the price and super cute. Sadly enough not every design is available anymore but the ones I picked are still there.

OT-Tulips, a dutch OTT party in Amsterdam

Yesterday was the day that I went to Amsterdam for a small high tea event at the "tassenmuseum" which is a handbag museum. Together with my friend Lise and my husband we drove to Amsterdam.
On our way we had lots of talks about the difference in communities since it would be Lise's first meet in The Netherlands except for Under The Sea last year. As well as some general lolita talk hihi.

It was so nice to talk about our thoughts and ideas of what people would be wearing and our expectations of the museum as well. Since we both thought at first it was a mug museum since a "tas" in Belgium means a mug instead of a handbag.. Cultural and language difference on point this day!

We arrived a little bit to late because of the traffic as well because of the fact that we can't leave the house
on time for some reason. But I'm so happy that Josine was a bit late too so we could travel together to the venue with her when we arrived in Amsterdam.

Must say both girls looked amazing! Lise was wearing her gorgeous Grazia JSK from Innocent World with a handmade headpiece and Josine was wearing a stunning hat from Voodoodolly and a ruffle dress from Atelier Pierrot. She makes me want to get into this brand too. That dress was so pretty!

Once we arrived at the venue we found our group still waiting for the food to arrive. Due to some problems in communication at the location there where some troubles. Not massive problems but big enough to cause some stress at the start of the event and a lot of chair switching in the end.
But we had a great high tea non the less, I really loved the teas of the day! Even the black tea one, and I'm not a fan of black tea at all.

Photo's by Livlotte on Instagram

Since we needed to pay an entrance fee to get into the venue which is located inside the museum we could visit the handbag museum at anytime. Though you aren't a lolita if you don't make hundreds of pictures of your friends to get that perfect outfit shot. The room where we had the tea party was stunning and the perfect backdrop of amazing outfit shots. Even though the light wasn't that great for photo's. But because our food had some delay and we wanted to have some good pictures we had only half an hour left for the museum.

To be honest it was long enough for me, the handbags where gorgeous but I only had two favourites in the whole collection. It was a carriage handbag with stunning details even little things like bagage was put on this handbag, and the other one was a chocolate handbag both perfect for a lolita coord or to put on display in your room.

After a couple of hours spending together with my friends and getting to know some of them a bit better it was time to leave the venue. We where able to make a group picture as well thanks to a lovely tourist. Must say it was a bit scary giving a way my camera to a stranger for a photo but this way everyone that was still there was on the picture! And he did a great job too, so I'm happy.

At this point the group split up since some of us wanted to have more pictures since the ones from inside weren't so great to see all the details of the coords. So it was time to say goodbye to most of them, it was great to see everyone again and to admire all the coords of the day. Everyone looked amazing in their favourite coord for this tea party.

Our little group of 7 went to the other side of the river for some more pictures cause the light was a bit better outside. Lots of shadows which is so much better than full sunlight. Some of us wanted to have more photo's so they could pick the best one of the day to post on social media. Sadly I din't have much photo's of myself or one together with some other girls nor my husband this time. Which is very shocking for me! Normally I have some couple/group shots to share but we only made singles this time how weird is that!

But I was able to film some things so I can make a little impression video for my channel. I still need to figure out how I can manage to make photo's and film footage at events so I can make both a blogpost as well as a video cause I love both. Thanks to my dear friend Liv I have some food pictures to share of our high tea. I hope that you like my little report on my day at the OT-Tulips tea party in Amsterdam and hopefully there will be a next edition soon cause it was awesome!!

Urban Fairytale, did you say shopping?

With Urban Fairytale around the cornor I though it would be nice to prepare ourselfs for some serieus shopping. At this very moment I'm sitting in my hotel room waiting with slow internet connection so I'm going to use the official photo's of the event to sell about the vendors.

There are a lot of vendors that make me really excited! Which doesn't happen that often esspecially after Under The sea where we got the news that Moon Bunny wasn't comming. It'sf not that I'm not excited to see all the pretty things but more in the way of I'm need a lot of money this time to buy everything that I love.

My style is evolving a bit, going from only sweet lolita to classic lolita as well. Though this also means that I need to spend some cash on expanding my current wardrobe.
I think my style is going in a good direction I'm adding pieces to my wardobe that are usable for everyday and also suitable for meetings.

But lets get into the huge list of brands that are coming to the event and get this party started!

Japanese & Asian brands

In this small collection I'm mostly looking forward to Innocent World and Soufflesong. To be honest I did forget about Soufflesong and Long Ears and Sharp Ears a bit but now that I'm working on this post I did know why I was really happy to see that esspecialy Souflesong was attending the event as a remote vendor. A couple of months ago I saw on their website some gorgeous handbags in a dark red and I wanted to buy it before the event started so I could have the bag at the event. Though when I was ready to buy it the site went down for maintenance, why??

My main goal this event was being able to buy at least one Innocent World dress but not just any dress that I can find. Since I've been to the J-store here in Berlin and I fell in love with the Planisphere JSK in black but I did not bought it yet because it isn't the style of dress that I was looking for in the first place. I wanted a plain non printed dress or one with a subtile flower print on it and not one with a gorgeous print. But maybe after the event I might go back if I have some money left to buy it than.

Indie brands

In this collection of brands was Elegant Feather and Fluffy Tori a big hit for me. Let us start with Fluffy Tori, when I saw that they where coming to the event I looked up their brand and saw that they hand something very unique a sportsbra with a lolita print on it. It fel in love right away so after some thinking I ordered one and I'm going to pick it up at their booth this weekend together with some printed tights. I've seen the dresses on pictures before but as far that I can see they still need to work on their designs and quality a bit. Though I can be completely wrong too! We will see what it looks like this weekend. But I'm already super excited with my purchase!

The other brand is Elegant Feather, this one is also new to me but looking through their facebook page gives me a good idea that this is something that I love. Their jewelry designs are very classical and the perfect add to your classic coord. Not sure if I will end up buying one of these gorgeous items but I will definitely take a look at their booth.

While the other brands are very cool as well I'm personaly not really interested in something specific from their shops. Though you'll never know what they will bring to an event so never say never.

Sooo where to start with this collage, so many amazing brands that have caught my eye! Starting with Sweet Mildred, this brand has some elegant headbows and a gorgeous dress for sale at their webshop. The dress that they have is the Gourmet Coffee JSK which I saw in real life when I met my dear friend Ashlyn here in Berlin last week. That dress is just stunning! So I'm secretly hoping to get my hands on it, so if you see it hanging at the booth before me. Don't buy it hihi, just kidding.

On the other hand we also Vanillas Traumfabrik which makes the most gorgeous rosettes! They are just magical and I really want to add one to my collection as well. Let us hope that she brought lots of things with her! Going on in the clasical vibe there is Mighty Kingdom as well, this brand is rather new to me as well but I saw their dresses in the fashion show at Under the Sea. And I must say the green dress in the fashion show caught my eye so I'm looking forward to their fashion show on sunday.

For my sweet tooth I'm going to visit the Melty Wish booth and drool over the pastel cuteness. Since I'm wearing pastel clothes almost everyday I really could use some more pastel things in my life. You might think, don't you have enough in your closet with all the sweet clothes and stuff?
Well euhm... maybe... But.. How can someone ever have enough pastel things in their life hihi.
The shop Melty Wish is run by my friend Liz who is super adorable herself and I'm ready to spend some cash at her stall!
Today she posted a little video about the new sailor moon jewelry that she is going to bring and guess what I was just looking for some. What a coincidence right..

I'm prepared for a blood bath at the Promise of Nostalgica booth and really praying that their isn't going to be a sign "SOLD OUT!" when the GA entrance starts. This little brand is one of a kind if you ask me, this shop is also by a friend of mine and she makes the most amzing hats I've ever seen. I know I say this a lot of times but for these hats they are just out of the world!
For most of my lolita coords I'm not wearing any hats or something that looks like that but when I see these I have the instant need to buy a hat from her. So this time I really hope that there is one left in a colour that I like as well. She posted a picture of the hats that she is going to bring and so far that I know most of them are already claimed by lots of fans! Good luck girls!!

And last in line is my favorite juwelry brand for sweet items Moon Bunny, whoohoo. Super happy that they will be here this weekend, esspecialy after the sad news for the Under the Sea event. This time I will be able to add more things of them to my collection, I really love their designs and I wear them with my everyday clothes as well. I don't think that this booth will be super populair since their aren't many sweet sweet lolita girls here in Germany. But you'll never know.

There are also a lot of remote vendors but I don't have the time to write about those as well. Maybe I can make a small post about those this evening. But in about an hour I'm meeting up with Lui so eat some ice cream... it's time to leave my laptop behind and get ready!

See you tomorrow, xxx

Lots of love Poppy

Urban Fairytale, guest line up

Hello my fellow readers,

it's been way to long since my last blogpost but I'm happy to say that I will be posting some new blogposts at least once a month. My plan is to make a blogpost every week but I know how bad I am with keeping up with everything so lets start with once a month, just to be safe.

Today I want to talk a bit about the next event that I will be attending which is Urban Fairytale in Berlin. This event is organized by Ribbon City, the local community of Berlin and Court of Fables which is the overal global community from Germany. Urban Fairytale is their first big event and they have some great names on their guest list. The main guest is Baby, the stars shine Bright with their three representatives. More about them below.

I've met most of them already at other events but it's always great to meet them again. Especially when they are doing a new fashion show at the event as well. I am really looking forward to this, a lot of my friends are walking in the fashion show so I need to cheer for them.

Besides Baby, the stars shine Bright we also get to meet Sana. He is a musician. To be honest I've never heard of him before the announcement. But I'm still looking forward to meet him, maybe I need to start looking up some of his music.

Masumi Kano

Masumi Kano is the designer of Baby, the stars shine Bright.
She studied design and pattern making in university and came to the company after receiving het diploma.
One year after she joined, she was already the foremost designer for the company.
Her foremost responsibillity in Baby's elegant world, is to design dresses that are elegant and doll-like, but not overly sweet.

Masumi Kano has also been active with promoting the brand overseas at conventions and in fashion shows. Including Japan Expo in Paris and many events in the US, Canada, China and Sweden.

I had the chance to meet Masumi Kano before at the La vie en Rose event in Paris last year. Though I didn't got a picture with her I am really looking forward to see her again in Berlin this year and ask for a photo. Not because I want to meet her so desperately or because I'm a big fan of her in general but I still like the fact that she is coming to Berlin. I do hope that she will smile a bit, since every time I see pictures of her she looks so bored.
Rin-Chan

Rin-Chan is the store manager of the flagship store in Harajuku. Besides being a store manager she is also a well seen model for the annual tea parties from the very beginning. Rin-Chan has her own clothing line which is very populair. Some of her well known designs are the Rubbit Watch series, Black Cat series, Tinker Bell series, Dreaming Kitten series and the Gretel series.

Rin-Chan isn't only a model in Japan but she has also walked in some fashion shows in the US, China and Canada. Besides being a model, store manager she had also the tittle of Model Staff Representative on her name for Baby, the stars shine Bright.

Now she is someone I'm looking forward to, still I haven't heard of here before this event though. Just like SANA, but after doing some research I really fell in love with her designs for BTSSB. Especially the Tinker Bell series it's so light and airy. Maybe I can add this dress to my wardrobe some day.

Sana

Sana started his career as the guitarist of the Japanese Visual Kei band MASK, gothic rock band Kain and as a support guitarist for many other Japanse artists. Since then, he has also made some name for himself with a successful solo career. In the last few years he has been touring around Europe both as a support guitarist and with his solo tour.

This year's solo tour "Where is my Honey" is also going to stop in Berlin, where he is going to attend the event with us. Besides being a musician he is also a a well known face on the Japanese runways where he has modeled for Black Peace Now, Atelier Boz and HELLCATPUNKS.

I have never heard of SANA before and after doing some research about him I didn't found any music files of his current solo tour. Maybe I am not that good with looking up music in general but still. At the Osharecon convention in 2015 was ADAM a special guest and they played a small set, but sadly enough most of the people didn't know who they where or enjoyed the performance at all. I do think this is going to be the same, not everyone that is coming to a lolita event is interested in the same music. Let alone love the same artist. There aren't any clear details besides on his official Fb page that he is going to stop in Berlin on the 23th  with his tour. Though on the event page we only got the announcement about the fact that he will be modeling in the fashion show for Alice and the Pirates.

I'm not a big fan of their music so far but I am still looking forward to meet him and seeing him in the fashion show. Especially since he will be wearing male clothes! More shopping opportunities for my husband, hell yeah.

If you are interested in coming to this event as well you can still buy your tickets till the 23th of June!
